Opportunities to contribute to the Ben Lomond Village Alliance span from volunteering a few hours at an event to joining a committee, serving on the board, or contributing monetary donations. All levels of commitment and support are welcome and appreciated.
The Ben Lomond Village Alliance is excited to announce several open positions as we begin begin making a positive impact in our community. We are looking for passionate community-minded people to join our team and help achieve our mission of enhancing the vitality and community spirit of Ben Lomond. As a new organization, these opportunities are all volunteer at the moment – it’s a great way to give back to this place we love. Open Positions
Volunteer Graphic Designer – We have a few graphic design needs such as elements for our new website, as well as helping us develop our general look and feel. We’re looking for someone who can create visually appealing materials for our campaigns, events, and digital platforms. Ongoing, this role helps maintain our brand identity to effectively communicate with the community.
Volunteer Bookkeeper – We’re looking for a person with accounting/bookkeeping experience to help us get our books up and running, organize our financial records, assist with budgeting and financial reporting, and track donations and expenses. Familiarity with charts of accounts, QuickBooks, GAAP practices, and basic accounting principles are a requirement. This position ensures financial transparency and supports the overall financial health of BLVA.

Below are our various local committees, each dedicated to one aspect of our mission, and they are always looking for new members! EVENTS
- The Events committee has the super-fun job of planning and coordinating BLVA signature events throughout the year that are designed to bring people together and celebrate our village.
- Also, it helps create and develop ways to promote the BLVA’s mission and programs through special events.
- This committee oversees marketing, public relations, and outreach efforts to get the word out about upcoming activities.
BETTER STREETS
- The goal of this committee is to enhance the physical environment, safety, and aesthetic appeal of the Village of Ben Lomond.
- This committee collaborates with local property owners, businesses, nonprofits, and residents, to identify and oversee design improvements, with an emphasis on public safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Members work to promote our shared historical and cultural heritage through the preservation and improvement of the physical aspects of the Village like buildings, public spaces, parks, sidewalks and lampposts.
VILLAGE VITALITY
- The Economic Vitality Committee works to identify opportunities for local business growth, job creation, and community investment.
- The main focus of this committee is to promote economic development and sustainability in the greater Village area.
- This committee collaborates with local businesses, government agencies, community organizations, and others, to support a thriving local economy.
Beautification
- The Beautification Committee works to enhance the visual appeal and charm of Ben Lomond.
- This committee works on projects that improve public spaces, streetscapes, and community gathering areas to create a more inviting and aesthetically pleasing environment.
- Members collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and residents to implement landscaping, seasonal decorations, and long-term improvement initiatives that reflect our unique character.
Health & Happiness
- The Health & Happiness Committee is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and connected community by promoting physical well-being, mental wellness, and social engagement.
- This committee develops programs and events that encourage healthy lifestyles, personal connections, and joy throughout the Village of Ben Lomond.
- Members work with local organizations, wellness professionals, and community leaders to create initiatives that support overall well-being and a strong sense of belonging.
Village Market
- The Village Market Committee has the fun and rewarding job of organizing and managing our community market.
- This committee oversees vendor selection, event planning, and market logistics to create a welcoming and thriving space for local artisans, farmers, and small businesses.
- Members collaborate with community partners, promote the market through outreach efforts, and ensure a lively, enjoyable experience that supports both vendors and visitors.
FUNDRAISING
- The Fundraising Committee works to develop and execute strategies to secure the financial resources necessary to support BLVA’s mission and projects.
- This committee sets fundraising goals, campaigns, and donor engagement activities, and builds relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- The committee works closely with the Board of Directors and other committees to align fundraising efforts with the organization’s goals and ensure a sustainable financial future for BLVA.
SOCIAL
- The Social Committee’s focus is on the “provide a thriving environment” part of the BLVA’s mission by creating welcoming, inclusive, and fun social opportunities.
- Committee members support and coordinate programs like Supper Club, dances, seasonal gatherings, and other events that bring people together and strengthen connections in Ben Lomond.
- The committee collaborates with other BLVA committees to enhance community life and foster local engagement.
