With a live band an an excellent caller. \nDoors open at 5:30pm \n\nPotluck 5:30pm – 6:30pm\nBeginner’s tutorial 6:30pm – 7:00pm\nDancing 7:00pm – 10:00pm\n\nPlease plan to bring your own dishware\, utensils and cups to the potluck. \nGet your tickets HERE \nVolunteers are needed to help with setup\, checking people in\, and supervising concessions. Sign up HERE \nIn case you are asking yourself\, “What is Contra Dance?” it’s actually quite similar to Square Dancing… Contra Dance is a traditional American dance in which couples dance in two long facing lines or in groups of four. Affectionately referred to as an “entryway dance” by dancers\, contra dance is by far the most accessible of all dances for beginners. The contra dance is also known as English country dance\, New England folk dance\, a barn dance\, or Appalachian folk dance.

Co-hosted by BLVA and Park Hall Community Center\, this is the first of three presentations in Trubek’s Tales of Ben Lomond series (Part 2: March 12 and Part 3: April 16). The event includes an intermission with concessions available. All proceeds benefit the Ben Lomond Village Alliance and Park Hall Community Center Fire Sprinkler Fund Tickets: $25 for adults\, $20 for seniors/youth.
